In a career spread over 25 years, after taking a post graduation in Management from the prestigious XLRI,  Sankara has worked with some of the leading companies in the business including IMRB, ORG MARG AC Nielsen, and Lintas in the Market Research  domain. He will accept any blame for the shortcomings of India’s Socio Economic Classification System and TRP system, as he played a major role in the designing both.  In addition to his vast experience in Marketing  Research, he has worked as a Consultant to Morgan Stanley analyzing the economy and doing company valuations. His current passions include researching technology,  and the economics of Food and Health. He teaches Research Methodology at several other institutes. He is also Member, Board of Studies at the SIES College of Management. Currently,  he heads QED Research and is involved in upgrading technologies involved in data collection for better data flows about lesser covered segments. He has been involved with Northpoint since its inception and was made Knight of Northpoint last year.  In addition, he also is a Consultant to research activities at IIM Calcutta and Tata Institute of Social Sciences. He enjoys bird watching and is an active member of Bombay Natural History Society and Navi Mumbai Environmental Protection Group.
