The role of the Administrator has evolved over time to be so much more than a diary keeper and travel advisor. At the same time the role of the PA overlaps and now includes project management and relationship development to support 'the boss' or bosses in such a manner that they are truly an extension of the senior person and their team. In order for this key link function to be performed the Administrator/PA needs to much more aware of the politics, personality traits, man- management and organisational factors in order to affect the necessary levels of influence and drive.
This practical 3-day course is designed for these influential people looking to develop and enhance their managerial ability and sphere of influence. The delegates will learn new skills to enable them to further their working relationship with their manager or managers whilst identifying ways to grow personally and professionally, build confidence and increase responsibility.
During the practical and highly contextualised workshop you will analyse your managers and your own strengths and work out subtle changes in your behaviour in order to bring out the best in both of you to create a highly efficient commercial partnership. Once the value of the primary individuals is established you then look at how to deal more effectively with other players in the team by understanding how to be assertive without offending or causing conflict. Finally you learn the skills of the key managers so you stand in for them whilst away on business.
