While selling time share holidays to corporate clients, he landed at an agency office and was mistaken as a candidate for an interview. Its been 18 years since that happy mistake.
He believes his key strength has fostering love: with brands, clients and the team he works with. 
 
He's currently President and Head of Office at bates CHI&Partners, Mumbai. He believes that "Bates CHI&Partners" today is a true blue new model agency. He is a new business junkie, something that excites him the most. And he thinks that most of the 'new business' can be gotten comes from current businesses. And likes to treat every project like a pitch. 
 
Previously, as Sr. Vice President at Ogilvy Mumbai he led a large business unit.Managing business growth. Furthered discipline integration. Built a strong 2nd line of managers. Also Headed a global business hub, besides other businesses. He has also had a very fruitful stint at Lowe, Mumbai, 5 years back.
