The admission process is a rigid one, beginning with the NCL Admission Test (NPAT), followed by a round of group discussions and personal interviews. Students are given a rigorous training in different functional areas of marketing communication, such as brand management, marketing research, media management, digital media and account planning and are exposed to the best of corporate practices by practising managers. Teaching methods and learning pedagogy at NCL include lectures, case studies, group discussions, business games, role plays, structured and unstructured group work, as well as internships in rural and urban markets. The emphasis is on involving the students in learning and helping them to relate concepts and theories to business requirements.
As an added advantage, the learning provided at Northpoint is not only restricted to the classroom. Northpoint students take up live projects with the industry, in addition to their internships, so as to get practical insights into real-world businesses.
