Behavioural / Self Development Programmes

Assertiveness for Results

The largest hurdle most people face is their inability to respond appropriately to other people in different situations. As a result, minor irritations become major problems in their work places and at home, and their relationships are strained. Surveys conducted among a wide cross-section of adults show that assertiveness and communication skills are the most desired areas of training. These skills or lack of them, are readily seen in the manner in which criticism and disagreement is handled. The upset and animosity engendered by being criticized and not handling it well, or by not being able to disagree and feel good about your self, is a cause for concern with most people. The answer lies in being more positively assertive and in really listening to what is being said. Using suggested behavior modification patterns help to guide people into a more effective pattern of communication.
Unfortunately, many people confuse assertiveness with aggression. This not a mere semantic difference, but the fundamental attitude and approach to assertiveness are different. This program is designed for people, whose learning objective is to be more assertive in their daily lives.
